This event signifies the fulfillment of Mynaric’s commitment to the development and fabrication of free space optical communications systems intended for widespread deployment. These systems are slated to become integral components of governmental and commercial constellations, marking the inception of a pivotal new phase for the company.

The inaugural deliveries of the CONDOR Mk3 free space optical communications system are slated to be incorporated into various programs, including the United States Space Development Agency (SDA) Tranche 1 Transport and Tracking Layer initiatives.

Mynaric secured its position as the exclusive supplier of optical communications terminals for the SDA’s Tranche 1 Transport and Tracking Layer programs, nominated by Northrop Grumman, as well as for the SDA’s Tranche 1 Transport Layer, selected by York Space Systems.

Loft Federal also selected Mynaric to supply the CONDOR Mk3 terminals for NExT – the SDA’s Experimental Testbed. In tandem with the volume production of the CONDOR Mk3 optical communications system, Mynaric remains committed to exploring opportunities that leverage free space optical communications across additional space programs.

Mynaric’s pivotal role as a development partner in Phase 2 of DARPA’s Space-BACN program, its selection by the European Space Agency (ESA) to investigate optical technologies for next-generation high-throughput optical inter-satellite links, and its appointment by the German government for multiple projects aimed at fostering quantum communication capabilities, all underscore its prominence in the realm of advanced space technologies.
