The agreement will enable both services to share windows during the period as part of the innovative contract. The film’s windows were designed to provide each service the best chance to reach their target consumers throughout the year. On September 15, 2021, Peacock will screen the film for the first time. The film will be available to watch for free on The Roku Channel in the United States beginning December 15, 2021. For STX, David Spiegelman negotiated the arrangements.
About My Son,
When a man’s (McAvoy) only son mysteriously disappears, he searches for clues in the area where his ex-wife (Foy) lives. McAvoy was not provided a script or lines to act a man whose life is cloaked by mystery, as was the case in the French film; instead, the role was familiar with basic pieces of his tale and improvised and responded to each event as it unfolded. The rest of the actors and crew knew what was going on. Carion did the same thing with his first picture, with his lead actor improvising the part.
Rob Holmes, Vice President, Programming, Roku stated,

They’re thrilled to be working with STXfilms to provide users of The Roku Channel with even more fantastic programming like My Son.
