Operational wellfield production patterns are currently in effect, with oxygenated water circulating through the satellite ion exchange (“IX”) facility and subsequently reinjected into the uranium ore body. Oxygen infusion commenced shortly after the injection of groundwater, meeting expectations for uranium concentrations in the production wells.
enCore anticipates a progressive increase in uranium concentration within the satellite IX facility in the coming weeks, with the first shipment of yellowcake (uranium) expected within the next 45 to 60 days. Remarkably, enCore accomplished the refurbishment and enhancement of the Rosita CPP, transitioning it from a long-term cold standby status in less than 20 months.
The comprehensive efforts included monitoring well ring installation, wellfield pattern and infrastructure establishment, and the construction of a new satellite IX facility. enCore navigated through supply chain disruptions and significantly expanded its operational workforce to adhere to the targeted production schedule.
With the commencement of its uranium production, enCore now stands as the first uranium producer in Texas in a decade and the most recent uranium producer in the United States.
