cbdMD, Inc. (YCBD) early this month announced that a multidivisional international merchandising and marketing organization PRO Group, Inc. has selected cbdMD to distribute CBD brands through its national network.
PRO Group’s multidivisional international marketing and merchandising channels have more than 79 distributors attached to it which have been running 140 distribution centers in all 50 states of the country. The company is also in alliance with the VAL-TEST Group and its combined sales volume exceeds $6 billion including that from its member distributors.

In addition to cbdMD, PRO Group also selected Paw CBD as exclusive companies to distribute their CBD products through its country-wide network with an immediate effect.
The producer and distributor of cannabidol products in a previous announcement had unveiled a data breach. The law firm of Federman & Sherwood on October 1, 2020 has announced initiation of an investigation into the company and its subsidiary CBD Industries, LLC related to that data breach incident.
In its announcement, cbdMD revealed that its e-commerce platform at the core of their online retail sales webpage, cbdmd.com, was breached to include malicious code. The implantation of malicious code increased the risk of exposing personal information of the customers to be unlawfully obtained by third parties.
The personal information so exposed could likely be customers’ name, billing address, email address, details of debit or credit card including expiry dates and card security codes, and customers’ bank account numbers. Customers who accesses cbdmd.com from March 30, 2020 through May 8, 2020 and May 14, 2020 through May 18, 2020 are more prone to the risk of that data breach, said the company.
